Built on the Base
Nobody Ever Sees
Elder Garrido Mejía started this crew to do concrete the way it is supposed to be done in New Jersey — dug to depth, compacted, reinforced, and priced in writing before a dollar moves.

A Bordentown concrete crew, not a call center
Elements Concrete Construction S-Corp works out of 2087 Burlington Columbus Rd in Bordentown, NJ. We pour concrete slabs, footings, driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, block and cinder walls, and stamped concrete for homeowners and small commercial properties across Burlington, Mercer and Middlesex counties.
Nearly every failed slab we are called out to look at failed underneath. The surface cracked because the base was thin, the fill was never compacted, water had nowhere to go, or the reinforcement was light wire mesh that got walked into the mud during the pour. None of that is visible on day one. All of it shows up by the fifth winter.
So that is where our time goes. We excavate to depth, compact a real stone base, set forms to a pitch that drains, tie rebar sized to the load, use air-entrained mixes built for freeze-thaw, and cut control joints on schedule. Then we put the whole thing in writing so you can hold us to it.
You reach Elder Garrido Mejía and the people actually doing the work — and because we are local, we can come back if something ever needs a second look.
Six things we refuse to skip
They cost us time on every job. They are the reason the concrete is still flat in fifteen years.
The Base Comes First
Excavated to depth and compacted stone before a single form goes up. It is the part nobody sees and the part that decides everything.
Reinforced Properly
Rebar grid on driveways and structural slabs — sized and spaced for the real load, not the lightest thing that passes a glance.
Written Scope, Fixed Price
Dimensions, thickness, finish, joint layout and timeline in writing. No verbal ballparks that quietly grow mid-job.
Respect for Your Property
Protected landscaping, contained washout, swept driveway. We leave the site the way we would want ours left.
Schedules We Keep
Weather moves concrete dates — nothing else does. If a pour shifts, you hear it from us the same day.
Honest Repair Calls
Roughly a third of the driveways we are asked to tear out do not need it. We will say so, even when replacing pays better.
Concrete is unforgiving. So is our checklist.
You cannot fix a bad base after the truck leaves. Everything we do is aimed at the hours before the pour.
Four steps from first call to final cure
A predictable process, so you always know what happens next and what it costs.
On-Site Walk
We measure the area, check drainage and grade, and ask what the surface actually has to carry.
